Samsung SCH-B600 – the world’s first 10 megapixel camera/phone
Samsung continues to push boundaries of mobile phones. Just a few days ago it has introduced the world’s first cellphone with 8 GB hard disk – Samsung SGH-i310. Now it has announced the world’s first mobile handset with 10 megapixel digital camera – Samsung SCH-B600. Or is it a digital camera with a cellphone?
Candy bar shaped Samsung SCH-B600 acts just like a normal, point and shoot digital camera with auto-focus lens zooming out of the back of the handset when you activate it, giving you 3x optical and 5x digital zoom capability and a phone display as a viewfinder.
Samsung SCH-B600 mobile phone features are less impressive, but nothing to complain about. It has 2.2″ QVGA 16 million color display, DMB receiver, video/music player, Bluetooth connectivity, microMMC memory slot and EV-DO 3G.
The good news is that Samsung SCH-B600 is not that expensive. Reportedly it will cost between $300 and 350 before subsidies. The bad news – it will not be sold anywhere outside it’s native Korean market.
