High end Nokia N90, N91 and N92 Nseries cell phones

Today we continue and overview of Nokia Nseries mobile phones/multimedia computers. We have already looked at lower end Nokia Nseries N70, N71 and business N80 handsets. Now we it’s a high end Nokia Nseries N90, N91 and N92 cellphones.

Developed by Multimedia Computers business unit Nokia Nseries try to transform mobile phones into a full fledged Multimedia devices. In addition to it’s cellphone functions various Nseries multimedia devices include non cellular connectivity options, high quality video and photo cameras, ability to watch broadcast TV and many other functions.

Lower end Nseries N7x devices are looking to fit multimedia features into more or less standard cellphone form factor and price range, N8x line is targeted at mobile business user. High end Nokia Nseries N9x handsets are meant to be full fledged multimedia devices with the best and most advanced features that Nokia’s engineers can dream of and cram into mobile handset.

Nokia N90 cellphone is meant for multimedia imaging. It’s 2 megapixel camera features Carl Zeiss otpics, auto-focus, macro flash, up to 20x digital zoom is able to take good quality pictures and shoot VHS quality videos. It supports Mpeg4 encoding and hot swap MMC card gives plenty of storage room for media files. Four axis design of this clamshell phone let’s you rotate it’s cover just like the small screen of digital camcorders, turning you cellphone into a small video camera. Specially assigned shutter and zoom keys further increases it’s similarities to a small video cameras. Dual active matrix screens offer flexibility and convenience. The larger, high-definition display rotates to work in both landscape and portrait. The cover is great to display information, read messages or even use it as a viewfinder to snap a quick photo.

Nokia N91 is a music phone. Before Samsung has announced it’s 8GB handset, Nokia N91 phone had the most storage capacity in the industry. It’s 4GB hard drive is able to store up to 3000 high quality songs. Special music keys, Nokia Music Headset HS-28 with remote control and special software makes this cellphone as easy to operate as any portable music player. USB2 ports and embedded Wi-Fi connectivity, with Windows Media player software allows to easily add new music from any PC and with standard 3.5mm headphone jack, you can effortlessly connect Nokia N91 to external speakers, home stereo or any other media center . This mobile phone is able to decode MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, Real, WAV, WMA, M4A, AMR-WB, True Tones, AMR-NB audio files and comes with built-in Visual Radio capability.

Nokia N92 is the latest addition to the Nokia Nseries. This Dual mode WCDMA/GSM and triband GSM (GSM 900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 2100 networks) multimedia computer comes with Digital Video Broadcast Handheld (DVB-H*) tuner built-in so, so you watch live Digital TV on the move, if the service is available. For optimal mobile TV experience Nokia N92 has 2.8″ 16 million color screen and special navigation keys for program guide and channel finder. Additionally to TV options this Nokia cell phone comes with built in USB 2.0 and WLAN (Wi-Fi) connectivity, 2 megapixel camera and video recorder, built-in music player and FM radio. Memory options include 40 MB of built in memory and hot swap miniSD memory card slot, expandable up to 2GB.

    dear sir,
    would you plz tell me the main target market for the n90. what i fail to understand is that though designed for technology taken customer s why did it have to come in different versions as the N93….the colour is great but cant it be such that most be given in only one phone such that it acts mostly as a hand pc but i surely a mobile.
