N72, N73 and N93 Nokia Nseries line expansion
In April of 2005 Nokia introduced Nseries – a new category line of mobile phones/multimedia computers. Nokia has a semi separate business division focusing on development of these multimedia cellphones with their own development and marketing budget. So far Nokia has released or announced 6 different Nseries models – N70, N71, N80, N90, N91 and N92.
Today, at an Open Studio Workshop in Berlin Nokia has announced expansion of the Nseries line with N72, N73 and N93 handsets.

EDGE/GSM Nokia N72 coming in pearl pink or gloss black is a stylish handset with 2 megapixel camera, integrated digital music player, has dedicated capture and music player keys, integrated browser, FM radio and support for Visual Radio. Nokia N72 comes with dedicated software – Nokia Music Manager, which lets you create custom playlists, rip CDs and transfer mp3 tracks from the PC. With dedicated shutter keys you can use this phone as a normal digital camera, with 2.1 inch color display acting as a viewfinder.


More advanced Nokia N73 has a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and is able to provide ‘real’ photo quality up to 10″ x 8″ (25 x 20 cm). Nokia N73 also has mechanical shutter, dedicated controls for capture, zoom and review with advanced autofocus and 2.4â€? full screen landscape viewfinder. On the music front Nokia N73 integrates stereo speakers with 3D sound, equalizer, digital music player, ability to create and edit playlists and FM radio. For business users dedicated Office, email, organizer applications are included with easy PC synchronization features.

Having become biggest digital camera vendor in the world, Nokia has now set its sights after digital camcorder market with it’s high end Nokia N93 cellphone. Featuring 3.2 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) camera with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 3x optical and up to 20x digital zoom, autofocus, close-up mode, stereo audio recording and digital stabilization, Nokia N93 is able to capture MPEG4 30 frames per second DVD quality movies. Specialized camera control keys and menus make it‘s operation as easy as any consumer camcorder. Nokia N93 also comes with built in WLAN (Wi-Fi) connectivity, 50MB of internal memory and miniSD memory card slot, upgradeable to 2GB of memory, which will be able to store up to 90minutes of DVD quality videos. Nokia N93 is expected to go on sale for 550 EUros in July 2006.
