Did you know that a scientific grade handheld magnometer costs at minimum $3400? Science and industry put billions of dollars into measuring magnetism, and not just to predict solar storm conditions. Just because you can’t see or feel magnetic waves doesn’t mean they aren’t important. People had the same doubts about radio waves, microwaves, etc, etc. The earth’s magnetism is important to know about. Don’t take on the attitudes of TV science fiction but gain some knowledge.

In the fictional world of “Star Trek”, “tricorders” gave information in scientific statements and quantities. In the real world, Motorola will take scientific information and turn it into feng shui fiction. I picture Leonard Nimoy raising his eyebrows and saying “fascinating.”

A mobile phone based on this patent would feature a direction sensor, digital camera (with software to analyze colors, order and balance of the environment), GPS to determine location of the space, and AM/FM radio (to make sure the space is far enough away from radio towers), and a table of “chi values.” The phone would also use the microphone for gauging undesirable noise levels.
