It may be look ugly but it’s got one cool thing going for it. Nokia 6086 is the latest UMA cellphone introduced by Finnish cellphone giant. What’s so cool about UMA? Well it’s another word to say this cellphone has got Wi-Fi connectivity. With a bang. If your wireless carrier supports UMA services, you can switch between GSM and Wi-Fi networks without even dropping a call. And if you have a data service plan, so far available only in Europe, your talking costs can be reduced accordingly.
And it seems that Nokia 6086 is coming to the United States soon - it has been blessed by FCC recently.

Apart from UMA, Nokia 8086 has supports EDGE connectivity and has a simple VGA camera, video recorder, 6 MB of memory and microSD card slot and rather smallish 1.8″ color display. It also has radio, can play various multimedia files, including your mp3 and if you add up top 2GB microSD card, you will have plenty of storage for them.
All in all it’s fairly basic multimedia cellphone and will retail for 200 Euro before subsidies in Europe. So when Nokia finds some carriers to launch UMA service in the U.S. you can expect sub $100 price for here.
