Samsung SGH – C140 is… just a phone

Samsung has another interesting phone in the works. And what’s interesting about it? Is it another ultra thin Ultra Edition phone? Or maybe it’s got more megapixels then 10 megapixel Samsung SCH B600? Another TV phone, like Samsung P900? Bigger hard drive then SGH-I310 Multimedia Smartphone?

Nope. Samsung SGH-C140 is just… a phone. Yep. Samsung SCH-C140 is a simple phone that just does one thing – acts like it is a cellphone.

Dual band (GSM 900/1800) Samsung-C140 has 128×128 65K color screen, 700kb of internal memory, WAP, GPRS, SMS/EMS/MMS, JAVA 2.0 support, 16-tone polyphonic tones, stores 500 contacts in the organizer has 3 hrs of talk and 350 hrs of standby time, measures at 104.2 x 44.2 x 16.2 mm and weights 69g.

And Samsung C140 is really really cheap. One Polish retailer quotes unsubsidized price of 171.97PLN for it. Which will be something like $57 or 44 Euro.

Well, if you are tired of the feature bloat of current handsets and want to use the cellphone just for it’s primary function, now you can get one on the cheap.

    I luv this phone. It has an answering machine. Its screen has very sharp colors. Its extremely light. And if you lose it it sends u an sms as soon as some one puts a new sim in it.

    Very good value for money. I bought it in Islamabad for US $ 40.00 only. It has a very high quality color screen. It also has an answering machine and sends you an SMS if you lose it the moment some one puts a new SIM in it.

    I have that c140 and found it quit goodlooking cell phone.
    It is simple in use and meet basic needs of a user. It is light weight and has a smart coloured display.

    i tried your samsung SGH c 140,it is very practical phone voice so clear and battery is so strong but there is one single defect,it’s ring tones is god damn quiet i can’t hear it if i am in a crowded place or if mobile phone is in my pocket.
