Samsung Anycall 5200 Gaming Phone – With Windows mobile, Sony PSP and Nintendo Games!

The battle for the ultimate mobile gaming platform is heating up. And it’s moving into mobile phone arena.

First generation Nokia N-Gage may have flopped, but Nokia is working on a serious upgrade for it, and has some cool gaming phones, like Nokia N81 in the works.

Then there are these rumors and hints about Microsoft Zune getting into mobile gaming.

And now it looks that Samsung is getting there too, with it’s own mobile gaming phone. Today PhoneDaily has a story about Samsung Anycall 5200 Gaming phone:

samsung-anycall-5200-gaming-phone.jpg

Samsung 5200 is built on the same platform as Samsung F520 Ultra Smart phone with interesting dual slide design. The only difference here – Samsung has decided that a gaming phone doesn’t really need full QWERTY keyboard and replaced it with cute gaming controls.

Otherwise Samsung Anycall 5200 is the same F520 Ultra Smart, running Windows Mobile OS with 2.8″ touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity.

The most interesting thing that can be seen from the pictures, is the Sony PSP logo on the backside of the device and the fact that it’s running what looks like a Nintendo game.

I do not read Japanese and Google translation did not help much either, but Samsung Windows Mobile phone with PSP gaming platform, running a Nintendo game…

Now that’s an example cooperation and of interoperability!

Update: Ooops… I really got tricked (by myself) here. That’s what you get relying on machine translation. Although very similar to Samsung SBH-B5200, the phone above is not from Samsung. It’s a rip-off playing on Samsung’s Asian brand “Anycall” by (most likely) some Chinese electronics manufacturer. Thank’s Engadget for correcting me.

I have the anycall 5200 from china, it is a great phone, it plays nintendo, super nintendo, and N64 games along with PS1 and the old Panisonic 3DO, the Logo PSP is not anything to do with Sony, it has a 1GB Micro SD, it runs windows XP mobil, and has a media player, it plays AVI, DIVX, MP4, and XVID... I have GPS on mine aswell, it runs it fine, however if you get a phone call it uses the processor and crashes the phone, this is why when GPS is activated it asks ''Do u want to start flight mode'' it is touch, key controled, voice controled, finger print passworded, and has real loud speakers, my friends dont stand a chance playing there music, even on the speakers for the walkman phones my phone is still louder, it cost me, £62.00 in china that would be about £248... i give the anycall 5200 10/10... the time the UK tax man got his hands on this phone it would cost lot more than £62, so im realy pleased with my phone PDA,

Anycall mobile phones are a replica of Samsung mobile phones. I have the I900 and it came with no software in it
The folders were empty I took it to Telstra technicians they couldnt download the configurations to have access for the internet. Optus also told me they could not install the software configuration for internet access. So basically im stuck with a lemon of a phone with no internet. I bought It online from China. Can anyone help me?
