Samsung G600 5 megapixel slider phone in the works

For quite a few years Samsung has been the leader in putting lots of megapixels into it’s camera phones. It still holds the world record here with Samsung SCH-B600 10 megapixel camera phone. But these Samsung phones have been relegated to the niche phone catergory, without serious promotion efforts and selling mainly in it’s own domestic market in Korea

The mainstream high-end phones, like Samsung Ultra Edition II were mostly sporting 3.2 megapixel cameras at best. Which look increasingly shabby compared to 5 megapixel offerings from it’s main rivals - Nokia 95 and Sony Ericsson K850i.

Well, looks like Samsung is thinking along the same lines too and is working on a new 5 megapixel Samsung G600 camera phone.

Samsung G600 will be a slider phone with the looks similar to other Ultra Edition sliders. Except for 5 megapixel camera, not much is known about it’s specs so far.

Samsung G600 will be a 3G phone with USB and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, 2.3″ 320×240 px , 262K color TFT QVGA display and microSD memory card slot.

We’ll keep you posted as more details about 5mpx Samsung G600 emerge.
