Samsung UFO SCH W300 7.2 Mbps HSDPA slider
By Staska on 20 Aug 07Samsung UFO SCH-W300, another HSDPA phone that supports super fast 7.2 Mbps data download speeds has been launched in Korea.
As we reported earlier, at the launch of LG SH1500 handset, Korean cellphone carriers are planing to start limited trials of the next iteration, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA networks soon, before moving to a nationwide rollout.
Samsung SVH-W3000 UFO phone will also be used in these trials.
Except for the fast data transfer rate support, Samsung UFO W300 is a typical 12.9 mm thin Ultra Edition II slider with 2 megapixel camera, 2.0″ 240×320 px QVGA display, Media player with MPEG4, H.263, MP3/AAC/WMA support, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. It will cost 600K Won ( 636 US$).
According to Aving, the name UFO means ‘Unimaginable, Fast speed and Oh, 7.2Mbps’.
Samsung UFO SCH W300 will be available in magic silver and black pearl colors first, with violet and sapphire blue versions to follow soon.
