Verizon LG Venus – a glimpse into the next generation of Chocolates
With the touchscreen goodness flying all around us, touch sensitive buttons on LG Chocolates and even the overall design are getting pretty boring. Afterall, how long can you milk the same design concepts?
LG knows that and is currently hard at work for the next generation replacement of it’s LG Chocolate line. At least for Verizon’s VX8550 Chocolate line.
Dubbed Verizon LG Venus slider is a bit thinner then VX8550 and comes with two displays on the front panel.

The first one is your ordinary LG Chocolate 2″ 320×240 QVGA 262K Color TFT display. But much more interesting is the second one.
It’s a small 1.49″ 176×240 px 262K color touchscreen that replaces Chocolate’s scroll wheel and touch sensitive buttons with interactive menu for navigation and control.
Other specs for LG Venus include: 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, mp3 player, 3G EVDO data support and microSD memory card slot for up 8GB of memory.
LG Venus will become available on Nov.8 and start shipping on 19th. The price of LG Venus Verizon slider is $199 after $50 rebate, with 2 year contract.
