Nokia N96 live pictures leak!

The speculation about the new Nokia N96 cellphone has been going for almost a year now. But prior Photoshop renderings for N96 device were pretty far off.

I know that, because today live Nokia N96 device pictures were leaked on Mobile-Review forums:

To tell the truth I’m a bit disappointed.

Nokia N96 looks very similar to the Nokia N81 gaming phone, has a pretty boring 5 megapixel camera, N95-tish dual slider form factor and is better optimized for media file access/viewing. Maybe I will be blown away when the official specs for Nokia N96 are released. For now it looks like a good phone, but not something  to drop my trusty old N95 and rush to upgrade.

I guess Nokia is saving the great innovations for the upcoming S60 Touch interface upgrades.

On the other hand, Nokia N96 looks like a solid addition to high end, 5 mpx Nokia “multimedia computer” line-up, and would be good choice for those upgrading their pre N95 handsets.
