Apparently local Samsung team had a press meet-up in Ukraine last week.
A number of new Samsung handsets were presented during the meeting and most of them are pretty well known by now. You know, the likes of Samsung i780, i560, i550 GPS phones, or full touch screen Samsung F700.
But there were two interesting, and previously unknown, handsets present during the event as well. They are Samsung F490 and Samsung P720 full touchscreen phones.
Samsung F490 is a full touchscreen mobile phone with 5 megapixel camera, tactile feedback, 3.2″ 240×432 px display, HSDPA connectivity and an estimated $600 pricetag.
It doesn’t seem to have a keyboard and looks like a direct competitor to Apple’s iPhone.
And it’s pretty close to the drawings of Samsung SGH-F490 handset found on the FCC site, so I’m sure it’s the real deal.
Samsung P720 Armani phone
Samsung P720 looks to be a version of Samsung Armani P520 phone, designed for Eastern European and Asian markets.
It comes with the same 2.6″ display, 3 megapixel camera, full touch screen interface with tactile feedback and other features of Armani phone.
The difference is in dual SIM capability, first introduced in Samsung D880 DuoS phone, which is a really popular feature throughout some Eastern Europe and Asian countries.
Samsung P720 Armani phone will have it too.
