Apple may own patent (when issued)for the capacitive touchscreen that is able to identify multiple touches simultaneously. Maybe a trademark for &quot;Multi-Touch&quot;. 

And, maybe, some of the gestures, if they can stand in court when/if patent is issued. It&#039;s only a patent application for now, and there is a prior art. Google Jeff Hann for more info.

This is completely different touchscreen technology (no capacitive touch identification involved), based on electrodes embedded withing LCD display.</description>
