When LG announced their KF510 handset, I wondered whether it will be the main phone they will be showing off during next weeks Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
After all, the handset looked a little too simple to be a flagship for the biggest mobile industry show of the year.
I needn’t have worried. LG will have another major full touchscreen multimedia handset – LG KF700 – on display next week.
I was passing through plaza Espanya on my way to a hotel today, and this is what was all over the Fira Barcelona building (MWC 2008 venue):
As you can see, there is a handset named LG KF700 there, next to the already known LG KF600.
LG KF700 is, obviously, a full touchscreen phone. It sports a display with unusual, better then QVGA – 240×480 pixel resolution (display res gleamed from here).
My guess is that LG KF700 will probably be positioned as LG’s main multimedia handset. And that should include bright 16 million color display, full divx playback, tons of storage and other goodies.
Anyway, we’ll know more in a couple of days.
