More about the leaked Motorola Video/phones

After yesterdays post about possible upcoming Motorola CTIA announcement and the leaked promo video, I got some suggestions that video might be fake, and also some tips about more interesting phones there.

So I downloaded the video and took a more careful look at all the phones in the video clip.

Of course, with current technologies, any fake video can be made realistic, especially at the YouTube video quality.

But I don’t see any reason that someone would go to the trouble to do that with this one. And the phones in this video look real enough and close enough to those that we know or heard about during past few months.

There are two types of handsets that appear in the video:

I already talked about new ROKR slider, Motorola A1600 Ming 2 and possible Q10. But there are even more new handsets in this video.

One of them is Motorola Z9 slider that BGR uncovered last summer (thank’s for the tip Cesar):

Or at least the one that looks very similar to the early slider prototype that at the time was dubbed Z9 and was a 3G phone with 2 megapixel camera. Things might have changed since last summer.

Then, in addition to ROKR slider I talked about yesterday, there’s another stylish red ROKR:

Which one is it – MOTO ROKR E10, E9, E11 or whatever? I have no idea. I can tell you just that it’s a candybar music phone with, morphing keypad, smallish display and cool color schemes.

And then there’s a PEBL shaped slider and another interesting slider in black/gold colors and a big scroll wheel. Both of which look like a part of the music phone line-up.

In addition to the phones on display in the video, it’s also interesting what’s not on it.

There’s no sign of Motorola Z12 multimedia smartphone codenamed Scarven here. So I guess we won’t see one at CTIA and probably even before this summer or fall.

Which is, actually, a logical decision on Motorola’s part: It’s latest Moto Z10 flagship barely started shipping and the announcement of a new, similar in looks, but much better spec’ed smartphone would certainly hurt the sales.

And in the meantime Motorola has time to prepare something very impressive for the Christmas season.

You know, something like Motorola Z12 flagship handset with 8 megapixel camera, optical zoom, big 2.8″ 16M color VGA display, touch interface, lots of speed, tons of memory and connectivity options, GPS and some other things I forgot to dream about…

And what the heck does the LATAM, at the very end of promo video means?

The only thing that I was able to come up with, is the acronym for Latin American.

“Let’s keep rocking, Latin America!”, sounds pretty good.  Was this Motorola promo video leaked from that  region?
