Sony Ericsson P5 shows it’s face
We’ve been teased with the upcoming Sony Ericsson P5 touchscreen smartphone slider for months already.
It was supposed to be announced before the end of last year, then it got postponed and we’ve been waiting for P5i to appear at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Then, CeBit, CTIA Wireless… And still nothing.
Well, USEB just got some real pics of the upcoming Sony Ericsson P5 smartphone and even an approximate release date – announced by the end of May, in stores by September.

USEB is pretty enthusiastic about the prospects of SE P5 touchscreen slider:
Paris will feature a full keyboard in known P1-style – below the screen, that is! Why? Well, Paris is a slider! It looks drop-dead-gorgeous and is set to slay, yes SLAY, other competitors on the market. It runs UIQ 3.3, and well, have a look at the picture. That pretty much says it all.
Well, not being a raving Sony Ericsson fan, I’m not sure about the “slaying” part. But what I heard earlier makes Sony Ericsson P5 smartphone look like a really formidable high end smartphone.
The rumored SE P5 specs include:
- Slider keyboard
- Symbian/UIQ 3.3 interface
- Stylus and finger operated touchscreen
- 5 megapixel camera
- Built-in GPS
- Opera Mobile 9 browser
About the only thing missing here is Wi-Fi connectivity and accelerometer. But these are not the final specs, so one can still hope… Let’s wait a few weeks and see how Sony Ericsson P5 will look in the real life
