Samsung and CNN International announced yesterday their contract to offer Samsung mobile phone users easier access to their favorite CNN news service.
This Java service was demonstrated at the GSMA Mobile World Congress a few months ago in February, where it was announced that Samsung would be the device manufacturer hosting this innovative new service.
This agreement grants users of certain Samsung headset models the opportunity to receive their news broadcasts from CNN right over their phone. This means you get everything including quick access to live breaking news, images, and you can even watch the hourly ‘CNN World News Now’ with this new Java application.
The first Samsung model to be equipped with CNN’s mobile contents was the G810, and various other models will also offer this option in the near future.
As stated by Jongkyun Shin, executive vice president and head of Mobile R&D Team, Samsung Electronics:
By embedding CNN International’s content into our intensive range of mobile phones, Samsung is providing innovative new ways for consumers to experience and enjoy diverse multimedia entertainment through their mobile. With CNN International’s solution, Samsung will be able to deliver its end users with the rich multimedia experience.
This new contract offered to Samsung mobile users means easier access to world news coverage, meaning more ease and convenience for you.
