Bluetooth Handset Launch: LG VX8610
This is just a reminder that Verizon is prepping a Chocolate successor with a secret – a media-centric slider with an integrated headset that will charge via the integrated dock when it is not in use.
We’ve reported on different LG models in the past, including the Black Label Series 3 LG KF750 and the LG KF300, but these are the first details on the new LG VX8610 Chocolate phone.
This slider phone with integrated Bluetooth allows the user to simply release the Bluetooth headset from the clip and start using it as desired. The phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera, respectable QVGA display screen and microSD card slot.
As reported on Engadget Mobile just yesterday regarding the integrated handset on the VX8610:
A feature not totally unique in the mobile world, but still unique enough to be a pretty big deal, particularly as US carrier launches go. Of course, a decent handset could be ruined by an awful headset here, so let’s hope LG’s smart enough to put some thought behind the total package.

The price of the LG VX8610 is still unknown at this stage, but the phone is expected to be available within the next couple of months.
