LG Phone Design Challenge

We mentioned before that LG was searching for the perfect touchscreen UI, for which they had a contest and the results are already in.

They have now launched a new and just as exciting contest, asking you to design your own LG mobile phone.

LG is challenging you to come up with the next great phone, and besides feeling pretty darn good about yourself for making it into the top three, there are also some fantastic prizes being offered.

You could win money, LG LCDs, new phones and various home entertainment prizes. First prize is $10,000, LG 52″ LCD, HD-DVD/Blu-ray player, and an LG mobile phone. Second place $5,000, LG 42″ LCD, home theater system, and an LG mobile phone. To third place goes $3,000, LG 32″ LCD, home theater system, and an LG mobile phone.

Even twenty honorable mentions will receive a new LG mobile phone, so it is definitely going to be worth it to at least try.

LG Innovation Challenge

To enter, LG is requesting that you complete five simple steps, as follows:

•Accept the LG challenge

•Design your ideal LG phone

•Describe how it works

•Give it a name

•Upload it to LG

You really get to put all the input in here, personalize your phone and show your ideas and creativity.

If you are interested in entering yourself in this LG phone challenge, you will want to read through the official rules as listed by LG on their website.

The contest ends on April 30 so you only have a couple weeks left to submit your design. Who knows, you may just have what LG is looking for and help them create this new phone. Winners will be announced via LG on or about May 31, 2008.
