LG Prada L852i enters Japan, get’s 7.2 HSDPA
While we are waiting for more info about the new LG Prada 2 to come out, LG seems to be busy updating the old LG Prada KE850 handset.
Well, they had to do that, since after the success around the world, LG decided to try marketing this designer phone in the most advanced cellular market – Japan.
LG KE850 was woefully underspec’ed to get any traction in a country, where 2G wireless networks are almost extinct. Enter the new LG Prada L852i for NTT DoCoMo:

As you can see, NTT DoCOMo’s LG L852i Prada looks exactly the same as it’s predecessor, and has almost the same specs – 2 megapixel camera, 3″ 240×400 px display and microSD memory card slot. Which are a bit on the low side, IMHO.
The new additions in NTT DoCoMo LG Prada L852i are 7.2 Mbps HSDPA antenna module and 0.3 mpx front camera for video calls.
