BlackBerry 9000 to get official on May 12th at WES 2008?
Let’s get straight to the business with this post. According to the latest tip received by our friend The Boy Genius, the much-awaited BlackBerry 9000 will be seeing an official launch this coming May 12th, right in the middle of the year’s biggest CrackBerry users gathering, WES 2008. He says it’s 100% confirmed, although he doesn’t mention who the source is. But with a history of many correct predictions behind him, we’re very inclined to believe.
It’s also rumored that Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO of RIM himself will be there to make the official announcement on stage at the event. Well, we do know that he of course will be present in the event. And being one of RIM’s top honcho’s it’s not unlikely for him to be the one to make the announcement.

For a little background, WES stands for Wireless Enterprise Symposium, and it’s going to be held on May 13-15 at Orlando, Florida. The event is still open for registration today so don’t forget to visit the official web site of WES for more details.
Thanks, BGR!
