Christian Dior, the French high-fashion clothing retailer, will reveal their own branded phone this Friday, Engadget writes. The glamorous phone should be up for sale in Dior’s shops within two weeks after the upcoming announcement.
Not much is known about the phone yet, except for the information found on this photo which was sent to Engadget by a tipster. Apparently, it’s a clamshell with an unusual, angular design, integrated remote control of some sort, and Swarovski crystals on the unique-looking face plate.
Here’s the photo of this rumored Dior-branded phone that was sent to Engadget:
Personally, I never liked the idea of flashy, glittering phones (what’s more, this one has friggin crystals all over it, ugh) but I’m sure some people would find it interesting, especially because of the Dior brand.
Fashion phones are a big thing right now, and the biggest fashion labels are often cooperating with mobile phone producers. We already have Motorola and Dolce & Gabana with their Gold RAZR V3i, the Prada phone (KE850) from LG, and the Samsung Armani P520. If the rumors are true, then Dior is joining the game as well; I wonder who is next?
