Nokia E71 live pics and hands on
Shortly after the release of the Nokia’s E71’s first official press photos with the E66, BGR publishes sort of a lightning review with a nice little gallery comparing the QWERTY-toting smartphone with the iPhone and N95 8GB.
That’s right, no sooner than when we had first blogged about the distinct possibility of a launch date soon (again), someone has already put their steady hands on the thing. More details and a couple of side-by-side photos can be found below.

According to BGR, the Nokia E71 has a “perfect size” and looks like a cross between the Nokia E51 and E61, further commenting that “it’s built like a tank.” Well, I’m not sure about that, but it sure does look like one. And it’s a very slim tank, if I may say.
The specs? Quad-band GSM EDGE with 850MHz/1900MHz UMTS/HSDPA and US 3G bands are the E71’s major concern. It also is no slouch in terms of multimedia, because if you haven’t noticed, it has a huge screen and dual cameras, with the main one being 3.2 megapixels clear with an autofocus lens.
Wi-Fi and GPS are also built-in to round out the connectivity features of this monstrous powerhouse of a smartphone. Those features alone might even be enough for some people to be convinced of buying the E71, but don’t take our word for it. See how the Nokia E71 stands up beside the iPhone and its older sibling, the Nokia N95 8GB.
