3G iPhone in Hong Kong and Macau by 3
Never has so much been spoken, written, or rumored about any device, let alone a cell phone.
That sole accomplishment rests safe with Apple’s pride and joy, the iPhone, 3G or not. With the date of official announcement looming, we have already seen a shift in Apple’s previous strategy of a US-only release, this time garnering as many carriers worldwide as possible; may be the word “jailbreak” played a major role in this drastic reversal of plans.
While the original iPhone is still to make an appearance in many other countries, the next iteration continues its world domination tour even before it has made a proper appearance. We have already seen the 3G iPhone conquer the Nordic regions in addition to working its magic down under. And if rumors are to be believed, it will also debut in Singapore just in time to make the Christmas shopping list. Now, 3, a mobile service provider owned by Hutchison’s Communications has now announced that the iPhone-2 will be available on its network covering Hong Kong and Macau.
With all this carrier madness aside, we still haven’t found that original picture to go along with this post. Hopefully, June 9th will give us more than just a good picture.
