For the folks out there in Canada who’ve been suffering for a new music phone that will best their old music boxes, Rogers Wireless offers the hot-spankin’ not-so-new Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone. This little candy bar was launched alongside its big sister a while back, the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic slider.
The Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is a 9.9mm thin handset that surprisingly packs a lot of great tech inside its non-bulging body. For starters, it boasts a standard 3.5mm headphone jack that will allow for all sorts of headphones, probably even the one that you already own and are currently using. It also has a 2 megapixel camera and runs on Nokia’s swifty S40 interface that’s very user-friendly, if its anything at all.
The real kicker here is that Rogers seems to think you’d never want to part from this phone, and so offers it with a three-year contract. But not to worry, as 2 year contracts are also available, for as low as $99.99 (after $50 rebate).
As a phone, you can expect the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic to serve you right even though it’s also billed as a premium music device. Support for up to 4GB memory cards will make sure you never run out of things to listen to, or you could choose to stick with the in-box 1GB card if you want to.
