what are you talking about there is a mic, you need to buy it, just get the buds from apple. works great!

Funny, never even heard of any iPod with a voice recorder function. But as for the touch not having a mic, there's a workaround for that, but only if you dare to tinker with it and spend a certain amount of money for the accessory.

As the Touch doesn't have a mike, I think that might be a problem for VOIP – heck it's one of the few iPods not to have a voice recorder available.
