Korea’s SK Telecom offers mobile phone mosquito repellent, seriously!
What’s the world coming to? Phones have become so sophisticated and yet there are rarely any useful services around. But thanks to the thoughtful people over at SK Telecom in Korea, things may be coming to a change.
Recently SK Telecom released a service that would let users download a special ringtone that when played, will fend off mosquitos from your person, up to 1 yard away to be precise! This mobile phone mosquito repellent service works while the user goes on pressing keys on the phone.
We still don’t know how effective the service really is so far, but we’re told that it will most probably work on the female mosquitoes only. That’s because the special ringtone to be downloaded actually plays a sound that replicates the buzz of a male mosquito, which is supposedly something that the females like to stay away from.
And the females are actually the ones who suck blood, anyway, so that’s a good thing. They’re only charging $2.5 for it, so it’ll be pretty hard to resist. Don’t you think?
