Sprint Nextel phone-as-modem plan now only $15 per month
Industry research firm Current Analysis reports that Sprint Nextel has lowered the price of its Phone as Modem add-on plan to only $15 from the original $50 per month. It’s a pretty good deal, only you have to be careful and understand the specifics very clearly to avoid any mishaps.
Before its lets customers participate in this new, lowered plan price offering, Sprint Nextel requires that they first have a Power Vision (CDMA2000 1x EV-DO) phone that can be tethered to a laptop. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also, since this new Phone as Modem plan is considered an add-on, customers will first need to have an existing data plan, such as the Spint PRO Pack, BlackBerry Personal Pack, and Worldwide Blackberry Personal Pack. These of course would bring the price back up once again.
Sprint Nextel’s Phone as Modem plan comes with a 5GB monthly data usage limit and a 300MB off-network roaming usage limit. If you’re looking for other options, there’s always the $60 per month PCS Connection Card plan that Sprint Nextel offers for laptops. But if not, then this is the deal to watch.
