Ericsson to layoff 200 in Spain as part of ongoing cost savings program
It looks like Ericsson is having a bit of a rough time this year, as it will reportedly cut 200 jobs from its sector in Spain as part of a previously announced cost savings program.
With the said cost savings program, Ericsson aims to save about 4 billion Swedish crowns (about $588 million USD) per year from costs. The company also expects top cut 1,000 jobs in Sweden while estimating global job losses to hit about 4,000.

Word of the Spanish job cuts had already appeared in an industry publication, although Ericsson hasn’t announced it yet. The company is currently discussing with unions.
Ericsson spokesman Fredrik Hallstan says “It’s part of the big program.” For Sony Ericsson fans, hopefully, it’s also part of the plan. To get back on top of the mobile phone game, that is.
