Greenpeace’s Guide to Greener Electronics awards Nokia as Greenest ever
The latest Guide to Greener Electronics released by Greenpeace gives Nokia bragging rights as the maker of the greenese electronics products this side of the galaxy, while its distant N-named cousin Nintendo remains at the bottom of the list.
Nokia scored seven points out of ten in Greenpeace’s scoreboard due to the company’s improved take-back practice India, which fortunately is doing well in that part of Asia.

Greenpeace also gave scores to manufacturers in the recently added energy criteria, and in it the winners are Apple, Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung.
Other companies trailing behind Nokia in being the greenest are Fujitsu-Siemens in third place, Sony Ericsson in fourth, and Sony in fifth.
Philips was touted to have the worst position on e-waste and recycling, which is probably why their handsets last longer on a charge than your regular 1-day long phones.
