Again, I said: "it seems that the biggest impediment to comfortable browsing is the actual screen size of the mobile device being used itself." The words "actual screen size" depict a pretty clear picture, do they or do they not?

I never said size and shape were the exact same thing. Did I? What I said was, if Firefox for Mobile will be used on devices such as the one on which these screenshots were taken, which obviously has a small screen because only part of the web page is displayed, then you might as well use existing mobile web browsers because most of the user experience would seem to be the same anyway.

Of course, there's still the possibility that we are just looking at web pages that are zoomed in here, but my point still applies. My point being that a bigger screen is better than a small screen at browsing on devices.

please clarify the difference to readers between RESOLUTION and SIZE of screen. if you're reporting to others to tech them information, then you ought to know better, otherwise you're dumbing people down due to inaccuracy. help them evolve by teaching them better :)

size and shape are not the same thing.
a 2.8" VGA screen device will display the exact same "shape" web page as 5" or any other size.

likewise a WVGA resolution like HTC/sony's Xperia X1 or HTC's TOUCH HD will be ideal for web browsing and office productivity more because of the resolution that changes the " shape", than the actual screen size.
