Nokia Map Loader released for Mac, 1.0 beta version

Mac owners who also happen to have a Nokia handset, hear this: Nokia Map Loader is now available for you too, as its Mac 1.0 beta version has just been released via the Nokia Beta Labs website.

Previously compatible only with Windows PCs, Nokia Map Loader lets you, as its name says, load Maps to your Nokia phone, via your desktop or laptop computer. This is helpful if you don’t want to download Maps directly to your phone, thus avoiding high data transfer costs.

Nokia Map Loader for Mac 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 and Nokia Multimedia Transfer version 1.3 or later. And, of course, you also need to have a Nokia Maps compatible device (basically all the Nseries and Eseries, plus lots of other mid-end phones).

The Map Loader for Mac is similar to the PC 1.0 version, but it has a “Mac look and feel”. Get it now from Nokia’s Beta Labs website – there’s a 2.3MB ZIP file at the bottom of the page.
