This is only a rumor for the moment, but HTC might be working on a Touch HD with a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset could be named HTC Touch HD Pro, if we think about the already released Touch Pro (which came as a thicker, QWERTY-equipped version of Touch Diamond).
Officially presented by HTC in September, the Touch HD looks to be one of the best Windows Mobile devices ever built. That’s because it boasts a 3.8-inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels, a 5 MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and many other features.
Now, a full QWERTY keyboard will surely be of great help, especially for those not used to typing directly on a touchscreen, so the rumored Touch HD Pro might get even more attention than the original handset.
This below is just a mock-up of HTC Touch HD Pro, made by the folks at Mobility Today:
Perhaps this HTC Touch HD Pro will reach the US too, thus making North Americans forgive HTC for not releasing the simple Touch HD there.
Anyway, we first have to see if the Touch HD Pro indeed exists and only then we can talk about its availability, price and other aspects.
Until the Touch HD Pro is confirmed (if ever), get ready to check out the Touch HD sans a QWERTY keyboard, which should become available starting November 6, for a retail price of around €649.
