LG KS500 brings optical touchpad, GPS and more
LG KS500 – this is the latest slider phone manufactured by the South Koreans from LG and planned to be released by Vodafone, most probably in all the countries where it operates.
The new KS500 won’t manage to attract too many mobile users only with its design, which is kind of plain. That’s why LG has packed some nice features into the slider.
First of all, the KS500 has an optical touch pad, which should provide you with a smooth navigation through the handset’s menus. The touch pad can also be used to navigate when browsing the Web.
LG KS500 further features GPS and A-GPS, plus Yahoo Go maps, which are nice things to have into a phone.
Other specs and capabilities include:
-
Tri band GSM connectivity
-
Dual-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity
-
QVGA display with 262K colors
-
3 MP camera without autofocus
-
100MB of built-in memory
-
External memory card support, up to 8GB
-
102.8 x 49.2 x 14.9 millimeters
For the moment there’s no word on when LG KS500 will hit the market. But it might do it for an affordable price, especially if Vodafone will offer it on contract.
