Sprint makes its ETF more user-friendly
Sprint, North America’s second largest CDMA carrier, today announced its new pro-rated early termination fee (ETF) policy.
The US mobile operator says that the new ETF is among the industry’s most customer-friendly ones.
Starting month six of a wireless contract, the current $200 EFT decreases by $10 per month. This means that, in the 15th month, a Sprint subscriber will pay only $100 if he or she wants to cancel the contract agreement .
The new Sprint pro-rated ETF policy applies only to new service agreements signed starting November 2 (next Monday), so users who have signed agreements before this date will not be able to benefit from it.
However, if you’re an existing customer in need of renewing your contract, the new policy does apply.
Sprint also said that it will continue to allow users to try its services for 30 days: within this period, with the Right Plan Promise you can deactivate the service and return any phone you bought, in case you’re not satisfied with them.
