Rogers outs the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 for $49.99, pink version coming too

Canadian mobile users envious on the US and the UK ones, who can already buy the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, now have only one more day to wait until the smartphone is available for them too. 

RIM and Rogers have just announced that the Pearl 8220 will be on sale starting tomorrow, November 4. The best part is that the smartphone will cost only $49.99. You’ll have to sign a 3-yr contract agreement with Rogers for this, and to opt for a data plan of at least $35 per month, but the price is still a good one.   

The Pearl Flip will first be available in a black version, with a pink one to come in the next few weeks.

The specs and features of Rogers’ BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 include:

  • A 128 x 160 pixels external display

So there you have it, the first and only BlackBerry clamshell will finally make its debut in Canada, to the joy of all those who have been waiting for it.
