If you’re itching to get your hands on the new AT&T Quickfire, waste no more time in waiting for the official release date confirmation. Because that day is today. Yes, the AT&T Quickfire is already available in AT&T stores; official announcement or not, you can see one up close and personal for yourself if you have the time.
Be warned, though, that several AT&T stores may still not have the Quickfire in stock, so it’s best to make a quick call to the nearest local branch and confirm before heading out and spending any of your time and effort looking for it. It’s a very Sidekick-esque, if not T-Mobile G1-ish device, if I may say.
Judging from its looks, users should be able to type messages away fairly quickly using its full QWERTY keypad. And in case the plastic keypad gets old, there’s a touchscreen display to tap on when you get lonely. 3G connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel camera and mobiTV come as standard while GPS tech is built-in as we earlier reported. The pricing info we revealed earlier remains unchanged as well.
The AT&T Quickfire costs $149.99 on a two-year contract, but the price goes down to just $99.99 after a mail-in rebate.
