LG Swift and Samsung Hue II released by Alltel

Alltel Wireless, the US carrier that will soon be swallowed by the giant Verizon, has two new phones to offer to its customers: LG Swift and Samsung Hue II.

Both of the handsets are clamshells that pack only mid-end features.

The first phone, LG Swift, comes with a next generation keypad that has Fastap Press-to-Experience keys. It combines six one-touch, easy-access keys with a standard alphanumeric keypad, offering users quick access to services an applications.   

LG Swift also has music-dedicated keys, situated right below the external display for a convenient control over the music player.

  • 1.3 MP camera
  • 3.0 ounces
  • 3.66 x 1.92 x 0.79 inches
  • Talk time: up to 3 hours
  • Stand by time: up to 140 hours

LG Swift can be bought from here, for as low as $49.99 (a 2-yr contract agreement is required). 

Samsung Hue II (model name SCH-r600) is not yet featured on Alltel’s website. However, according to a post made at Howard Forums, it should be on sale today too.

The Hue II comes with changeable faceplates of various colors (blue, white, green etc). Its specs include:

  • A 2.2 inch internal display
  • Music player with external controls
  • A-GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • Email
  • 2MP camera with video recording
  • 54MB of internal memory
  • MicroSD card slot
  • Talk time: up to 3 hours
  • Stand by time: up to 200 hours
  • 3.4 ounces
  • 3.8 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches

No word yet on the price of Samsung Hue II, but it will probably be a bit higher than the one of LG Swift.
