LG KC780 now available for free through Orange UK
LG promised that its newest 8-megapixel cameraphone, the LG KC780, would be available in November in Europe, and well, what do you know? It is already available, and for free on a contract, at that.
Orange UK is among the first European mobile phone operators to offer the LG KC780 Portrait phone to its customers, giving them yet another option for a great mobile photography experience.
As mentioned earlier, it’ll be available absolutely free on Orange contract tariffs with a range fo free gifts and line rental savings, according to Orange UK.

Far from being another 8-megapixel cameraphone, the LG KC780 also features the following:
- GSM 900/1800/1900, GPRS/EDGE connectivity
- 2.4-inch 240×320 QVGA 262K color display
- FM Radio
- Built-in accelerometer
- DivX video playback
- 140 MB of user memory
- microSD memory card slot (up to 8 GB)
- USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, Smart Bluetooth feature
- 900 mAh Li-Ion battery, 6 hrs talk and 450 hrs standby time
- Dimensions: 107×52×13.9 mm
- Weight: 119 g
- Motion sensor games and TV-out
No mention of when exactly the LG KC780 will be released in Asia and North America, but since LG said the release in those market will follow the November European release, we have a hunch that it may be very soon.
