Motorola Hint QA30 now official, a true social messaging phone
Just yesterday we were telling you about a weird-shaped Motorola phone, called MOTO QA30 and coming as the first QWERTY slider built by the American company.
Today, the phone was officially announced, under the full name of Motorola Hint QA30. The handset is presented by Moto as a social messaging one.
And it’s no wonder, as besides the physical QWERTY keyboard, Motorola Hint QA30 offers one-touch SMS access, threaded messaging (you can store up to 300 messages), quick access to email and Instant Messaging programs.
The other features and specs include:
-
CDMA 1x EV-DO Release 0
-
2.5 inch TFT display with 320 x 240 pixels and 65K colors
-
3.5mm headset jack
-
Music player
-
Stereo Bluetooth
-
USB 2.0
-
2MP camera with video recording
-
Talk time: up to 4.5 hours
-
Stand by time: up to 15 days
-
256MB ROM, 128MB RAM
-
MicroSD & SDHC card support, up to 8GB (not 32GB as previously thought)
-
120 grams
-
82 x 61.6 x 17 millimeters
All in all, Motorola Hint QA30 seems to be a phone perfectly suited for youngsters (as long as they like its design).
The QA30 will be available starting this quarter, hence before the end of 2008. No word yet about its price, but we do know that Alltel and U.S. Cellular will be among the US carriers to offer the new QWERTY handset.
