Motorola Alexander and Motorola Atila coming in Q1 2009
Is it just me, or are the Motorola Atila and Motorola Alexander very poorly designed? Anyway, the two unnannounced Motorola smartphones, earlier leaked in live pics, are said to be “under construction” in the factories of Compal Communications. Maybe that explains where all these leaked photos have been coming from.
This info is gathered from a recent Commercial Times report, which says “Compal Communications has received orders for two Windows Mobile-based PDA phones,” aptly named the Alexander and Attila, from none other than good old Motorola.

The same report also reveals that the two upcoming Motorola handsets were actually scheduled for a shipment date somewhere between Q4 2008. The reason for the delay wasn’t specified, but shipments are now set in Q1 2009.
Motorola probably didn’t want its new babies to get drowned out in the noise of iPhone 3G and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic sales during the holiday season. That, or like many of its currently available products, the Motorola Alexander and Atila both still stink, and therefore need more work on their features still.
