HTC buys One & Co, promises new nicely designed handsets

HTC and One & Co have been collaborating since 2006, when the first plans for the making of HTC Touch Diamond were laid.

Now, in order to further strengthen its position as a leader in mobile design, HTC has announced that it’s buying One & Co for an undisclosed amount of money.

One & Company Design Inc. (better known as One & Co)  is a lifestyle design firm based in San Francisco, USA. With this acquisition, HTC hopes to bring new innovative handsets to the market.

Well, if these are anything like the Touch Diamond or the Touch HD, I guess everyone will be happy.

“Design is key, it is why you love or hate something. Integrating iconic design into HTC products is an inspiring and dynamic challenge that requires a unique combination of consumer insight, creativity, innovation and an appetite to take risks; attributes that embody One & Co,” declared Horace Luke, Chief Innovation Officer at HTC Corporation.

Besides collaborating with HTC, over the years One & Co has been working with other big names, including Apple, Microsoft, Motorola, Dell, Sony and even Nike and Fila.
