Samsung Byline SCH-R310 announced for MetroPCS
MetroPCS, the US home of simple phones, will soon add a new entry-level handset to its line-up: Samsung Byline SCH-R310.
Samsung USA says that the new phone is already available via MetroPCS, although it can’t be found on the carrier’s website yet. Moreover, the handset’s price is not known, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a high one.
The Byline SCH-R310 is a clamshell that comes in a red vs. black color version and features, among others, push to talk capabilities (Walkie-Talkie with ChatLINKSM).
The full list of specs include:
-
1.77 inch CSTN internal display with 128 x 160 pixels and 65K
-
96 x 96 pixels CSTN external display with 65K colors
-
Bluetooth
-
SMS, EMS and MMS
-
metroWEBSM
-
Advanced Voice Recognition
-
Speakerphone
-
3.25 ounces
-
3.5 x 1.7 x 0.77 inches
-
Talk time: up to 3.5 hours
So if you want a new and simple Samsung flip phone this Christmas, look for the Byline SCH-R310 in MetroPCS’ stores – assuming that the carrier offers services in your area.
