Skype for Android and Java now available
If you use Skype a lot, here’s a piece of news that should be of interest to you: a lite version of Skype has just been launched, especially for Android and Java phones.
The new mobile Skype can be used worldwide and it doesn’t require your phone to be connected via Wi-Fi.
However, in order to use the application, you must have a calling plan and a data plan.
So what can you do with this lite version of Skype?

Send and receive instant messages – to and from individuals and groups

Receive calls to your online Skype number
Apart from working with Android, the new application also works with over 100 handsets from Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony Ericsson.
