CES 2009 Shows Off Nokia N97

At the Nokia booth, the hardest phone to get close up to was the Nokia N97. Shocker!

The N97 was announced with much anticipation in December 2008, and is slated for release in Europe sometime in the end of the first half 2009, with North America release sometime soon after. The rep mentioned the pricing should be around the same as the N95 and N96 when they were first released.

So, instead of giving out exact dates, the next best thing is to show off live pics of Nokia’s new candidate for the title of iPhone Killer. Don’t worry — videos are coming soon!

so funny this is mentioned, “…Nokia’s new candidate for the title of iPhone Killer.” as Nokia makes pretty much nothing but iPhone killers. ;) The N95 is totally an iPhone killer and it does not even have a touch screen. :P

does this phone has soft or hard screen?

  • Brad Molen

It has a soft (touch) screen. We'll see how well Nokia pulls it off. I'm always hopeful, but skeptical.

    Nikia can do better.
Waiting for a powerful high-end mobile phone computer that includes a 1GHz processor, a 1 GB RAM, a XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) display, a 10 MPX camera with flash, a full HD video recording, a 100 GB storage, a 100Mbps WIFI, GPS and a-GPS, a full touch screen that includes QWERTY keyboard, Digital TV (DVB-H), etc. Who will make the first one? HTC, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung … Until then I will not buy any phone.
