Skype now offers voicemail to text services
Skype and SpinVox have just announced that Skype voicemail customers will be able to use, from now on, voicemail to text conversions.
Thanks to SpinVox’s technology, Skype messages can be easily converted to text and then sent via SMS to any mobile phone.
One voicemail to text conversion costs €0.20 ($0.25 or £0.17) – and that’s added to the cost of an SMS. As an alternative, you can choose to receive the text conversions by email, for free.
Currently, voice message to text conversions are available only in English, French, Spanish and German.
To get your voicemail sent as text to your handset, just visit this address and configure your Skype account.
