Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry previewed
Although RIM hasn’t officially announced Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry, the application is already developed and it should be launched any time now.
The folks over at BGR had the chance to preview the app and see what its important improvements are.
It looks like there are three such improvements: BlackBerry Message integration (you can view any Facebook message directly from your inbox); BlackBerry Contacts integration (lets you combine Facebook contacts with your BlackBerry contacts); and BlackBerry Calendar integration.
The design of Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry is said to be disappointing. In return, access to Facebook’s WAP site is enhanced. Also, you can comment on Facebook status messages, call buddies from the Friends screen, and change your listed phone numbers.
All in all, Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry does come with some nice new stuff, but it could have offered more. Well, maybe Facebook 2.0 for BlackBerry will do it – apparently, this version is already in the making, although the 1.5 one wasn’t released yet.
