Air France and KLM now offer boarding passes on mobile phones
Air France and KLM, two of Europe’s largest airline companies, have announced the introduction of electronic boarding pass services on mobile phones.
As of yesterday, travelers can receive their boarding pass on a PDA or a simple cell phone, via SMS, MMS or e-mail.
The boarding pass for mobile phones features all the data found on a conventional boarding pass – including a unique bar code that has to be scanned at check in.
So the only things you’ll need before getting on board of a plane is your handset and your personal ID.

The new mobile service was launched after a six-month trial on the Paris – Amsterdam – Paris route. Travelers can use it on Air France / KLM flights from Amsterdam and Paris to all major European destinations, except the UK.
