LG Banter is Alltel’s own Rumor2; could be available starting today
Just a few hours ago, Sprint announced that LG Rumor2 would be released on March 15, for $49.99 on contract.
Well, it looks like the handset will be first available via Alltel, coming under the name of LG Banter to replace the LG Scoop (Alltel’s version of the first-generation Rumor).
The phone is basically a Rumor2 that’s dressed in slightly different colors.
Thus, Alltel’s users who want to buy it will get the same features, including a 2 inch QVGA display, a 4-row QWERTY keyboard, GPS capabilities, stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3MP camera and MicroSDHC card support.

The Banter has just showed up on Alltel’s official website, and it’s said that it would be on sale as of today – although its price is not known.
