AT&T confirms new iPhone for June?
Everyone’s expecting a new iPhone to be launched this summer, and it looks like AT&T, the exclusive iPhone carrier in the US, has just confirmed that a third-generation Apple smartphone will be introduced in June 2009.
According to BGR, someone important at AT&T said the new iPhone will be indeed announced in mid-June.
Also, some details about its features were unveiled.
Reportedly, the next iPhone will be faster (than the iPhone 3G, of course) and it should offer a “more seamless experience”.
Furthermore, the new iPhone will come with a U-Verse app (for controlling your home DVR) and it might support data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps – well, isn’t the iPhone 3G already supporting that?
It’s not clear where exactly the iPhone Nano stands in all this.
Anyway, I’m sure Apple fans are eagerly awaiting more details on the new smartphone(s), so we’ll be here to bring them when they appear.
